Lenore Look will Skype visit on Friday, April 12th.
We are still collecting small display items for our world awareness inquiry connection wall! The library is collecting small objects from various countries in connection with class Units of Inquiry. Here are the countries we are presently needing objects from: China, Afghanistan, Australia, Africa, Egypt, America (North and South), Portugal, Hong Kong. If you are willing to donate small objects to the library (such as a picture, bookmark, flag, piece of art, etc.), please send it in with your child. Thank you to those who sent items in!
Thank you for the community support with Mother-Tongue Guest Readers sharing books in various languages in the library. We would like to continue this Mother Tongue reading, if you are willing to come into the library for 20 minutes and read between now and the end of the school year, please contact me at debbie.alvarez@bs.esf.edu.hk. How many times have you visited Tumblebooks with your children?
All about TumbleBook Library: The TumbleBookLibrary is a collection of TumbleBooks (animated, talking picture books) with fiction, non-fiction and foreign language titles, Read-Alongs (chapter books with sentence highlighting and narration but no animation), TumbleTV which consists of pre-set playlists of a sequence of books, Tumble Puzzles & Games, and TumbleResources for teachers and students. Plus there are videos from National Geographic as well.

February/March Family Project: Do your children have too many books on their shelves? Would you like to make room for new ones? Perhaps take time with your children to think about clearing out books they have grown out of or no longer enjoy, send your children to the library with the books to swap them!
