From the Desk of Ms. Clark
August 30, 2018
I am delighted that we will be opening our doors next week to welcome our students back to school for the 2019-2020 academic year! At SKD, we are passionate about Catholic education and look forward to partnering with you as we continue to provide our students with an engaging, rigorous, and high-quality faith-based education. Parents are every child’s first teacher and by working together, we can ensure that your child’s spiritual, social, emotional, and academic needs are met.
We recognize the sacrifices you and your families make to send your children to Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School. The faith-based education you have chosen provides an atmosphere warmed by the powerful presence of our loving and faithful God. I urge you to support our school through your prayers and participation. The close ties between family and school reinforce moral values and nurture our faith tradition.
It’s time to turn our summer rest into energy that will magically turn into the important work of Catholic education. We look forward to welcoming our children to school with all their enthusiasm anticipating a new school year! Enjoy the Labor Day weekend!

Student Safety First
Please enter the morning drop-off car line with caution. The morning drop off is an express line; parents may not stop and get out of their cars. Students must exit from the PASSENGER SIDE only. Students MUST be ready to exit the car once pulling into the car line drop-off in order to eliminate back-up traffic. DO NOT DRIVE OUT OF THE CAR LINE. PLEASE WAIT FOR THE LINE TO MOVE SLOWLY TO EXIT.
If you need to bring your child into the school building, you MUST park your car in the front of the school and enter through the main school entrance. You must report to the office. No cars are permitted to park or idle in front of the school in the fire lane.
Please make every effort to get your child to school on time. This teaches our students respect and courtesy along with an understanding of the importance of being on time. When a child is late, it disrupts the morning routines of the classroom and often the child becomes overwhelmed.
