Making a Home When You're Alone
Shelter
Building a Home
- Try to stay near a water source so you can always stay hydrated
- If there was a wreckage then stay as close to the crash as you can so the rescue team can find you easier
- Stay away from natural hazards like dead trees that could fall on your shelter
- Don't bill a shelter that's too big because it will be harder to trap in the heat
- Don't sleep directly on the ground because it will be harder to retain your body heat
- Use broken branches to create the shelter
- If you have a blanket and some string then you can tie the blanket on trees and create a tent
- if you cant find anything to use to make a shelter, then you can always get inside a cave
- Use boulders and large rocks to break the wind
Remember Comfort isn't the main idea here, you are trying to survive.
