Save the Date for Make A Difference Day!
Mark your calendars now for Saturday, October 24th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning is asking all faculty, staff, students, and alumni to participate in and help spread the word about Make a Difference Day!
Make a Difference Day is a national community service event encompassing the most comprehensive nation-wide day of helping others. It is a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors.
Locally, Fresno State volunteers will have the opportunity to volunteer with local community benefit organizations on several projects.
Volunteers may participate individually or as a group.

Nominations for 2015 John D. Welty Award for Excellence in Community Service
In order to be eligible for the award, student must be regularly enrolled, in good academic standing, and meets other university scholarship requirements. More specifically, candidates must have completed a minimum of 150 accredited service hours in the last 12 months. This service can be in combination over multiple semesters and/or different sources. Nominations are due Friday, October 16th.

Volunteer for Freewheel Project
Their 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Fundraiser will take place at Copper River Country Club on Monday, October 5th from 9am–6:30pm. Volunteers are needed throughout the day and can work short or long shifts as needed.

Volunteer for Rotary Storyland
Some of the responsibilities will include working the membership table, helping with park ticket sales, chaperoning performers to their location, working the snack bar, etc.

Volunteer for Malloch Elementary School Carnival
Shifts include setup 2:30–5pm, carnival 5–8pm, and cleanup 8–9pm.
