Newline Panels Are Here!
DPS landed on a replacement for Promethean Board back in January of 2018.
Over 10 schools including Kaiser Elementary, Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy, Schmitt, College View, Goldrick, Brown Intl. and Bear Valley Intl. have purchased and installed these panels and have received or will receive a short professional development session on how to use these panels in their classrooms.
These Newline panels were chosen as the best solution because they do not require bulb replacements, nor pen/finger calibration, and the pen and remotes are rarely needed due to its ease of use. They also carry a 5-year warranty!
Check out this information and join this Schoology course with access code NGKWV-2M7SH if you prefer to learn how to use your panel independently.
Contact edtech@dpsk12.org if you or your principal would like to schedule face to face training for your Newline panel.
Preparing for ACCESS
In order to prepare your K-12 English Language Learners (ELLs) for the online-only administration of ACCESS for ELLs 2.0, please provide plenty of opportunities for students to respond to online speaking and writing tasks throughout the year and before ACCESS testing in January 2019. To help support this effort, ETLS has compiled a catalogue of technology integration platforms that are easily incorporated into instruction. For additional support, please contact Educational Technology or Lisa Lund.

Kids Safe Online MS-ISAC Poster Contest
The MS-ISAC also runs a K-12 Computer Safety Contest to encourage students to use the internet safely. Students can enter posters encouraging digital citizenship and information security and the winners will have their posters published in the 2020 edition of the MS-ISAC calendar. If you're interested in having your students enter, check out the rules and entry information here.
