From Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science
Picture with the Maniken: Human Body System students are learning about how the nervous system is the communication system of the body. Students are learning about the function of the major areas of the brain and sculpting the anatomically correct sections, locations and to scale using their Manikens.
Picture with girls looking at microscope and hand holding a slide: Honors Biology students are learning about the carbon and water cycles by focusing on where in the leaves does gas exchange occurs. The cycling of carbon and water through plant stomata and the factors influencing the movement of these gases are explored by removing the outer section of the leaf and examining the result of hydration and dehydration on stomata.
