Kirk Fenton News
15th November 2019
Dear Parents / Carers,
This week has been anti-bullying week in school and across the country and each class has been involved in a variety of activities from assemblies to theatre workshops in order to explore the subject and how it affects people. We are lucky to have very low levels of bullying at Kirk Fenton but it is still very important that our pupils understand what bullying is and what they can do if they think they are being bullied.
We have also had pupils out and about this week with a team from Years three and four showing great perseverance in the wet weather and taking part in a Quick sticks hockey competition. Two pupils from Year 5 spent the day at Riverside primary taking part in a K'Bots workshop. They showed great respect all day that was commented upon by staff from other schools. Well done to them all.
Finally, just another reminder of the Friends of Kirk Fenton EGM next week at 3:20 on Wednesday 20th November. Please do try to get there if you can, your school needs you!
Have a lovely weekend

EGM - witnesses required Wednesday 20th November
We are holding an Extraordinary General Meeting straight after school next Weds 20th November and we need witnesses to attend to oversee the voting in of a new committee, otherwise the charity will sadly have to fold. Please pop in to the school hall to be a witness if you can, it shouldn't take long.
Christmas Gift Bags
Please keep an eye out for a letter coming home early next week with a paper gift bag attached. We are asking the children to kindly decorate the bags and fill them with something nice for Christmas to donate for our 'lucky dip gift bags' stall... more details in the letter.
Christmas Fair Volunteers
Thank you so much to those who have come forward to offer help so far. We are keeping an updated list on our Facebook page of volunteers to man the stalls - we don't yet have the 20 we need, so if you can help, please get in touch. Some people are offering to cover half a shift if they can't manage the whole fair; this is very much appreciated!
