The Pennridge School Board Review or PSBR newsletter is intended for a “one-stop shop” approach to the happenings of our monthly school board meetings and a summary of the major decisions made by the school board each month. The information presented on the newsletter is a summary of the decisions made by the Pennridge School Board and not a commentary or editorial on the decisions made. The team has earned the Suburban Philadelphia Soccer Officials’ Association Outstanding Sportsmanship Award
And Their Coach, Audrey Anderson, won her 200th game in October and has also been named as the P-S-C-A, 4A Coach Of The Year!

At the meeting, time was also given for a distinguished individual who, according to Mr. Berrios, "has played a pivotal role in the fabric of the Pennridge community. In bidding farewell and acknowledging the accomplishments of a true professional, it is my distinct honor to recognize Dr. Tony Rybarczyk.
Dr. Rybarczyk's tenure with Pennridge stands as a testament to excellence. His dedication, passion, and steadfast commitment to enhancing our educational community have impacted the hearts and minds of students, colleagues, and parents alike. Dr. Rybarczyk has been a paragon of excellence, leading by example and inspiring those around him to strive for greatness.

Pennridge PESPA employees settle their new contract.
At the start of the business portion of the meeting, a motion to approve the settlement agreement between the Pennridge Education Support Professionals Association (PESPA) and the Pennridge Board of School Directors was made and approved for the term of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2027, superseding the 2019-2024 CBA and applied as described in the agreement.
This agreement raises the salaries of our support staff positions throughout the district.

Exciting and new opportunity for Students; Pennridge High School approves the Medical Career Academy
This new elective credit will offer Pennridge High School credit for students who are interested in pursuing a medical career. This course/credit provides instruction to the student in medical practices within the health occupation and this elective course aligns with the 2022-2025 Pennridge School District Comprehensive Plan Goal of career pathways.
Pennridge High School teacher, Chris Dyer explains, "This program is designed for 12th grade students to explore the vast array of medical careers available to them. The 12th grade requirement is stipulated by St. Luke’s to ensure maturity and patient relations can be maintained. The Medical Career Academy is partnered with St. Luke’s University Health Network and their various campuses and this program is an application-only program and seniors who apply must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
Students will interact with various departments within the St. Luke’s University Health Network and the following departments will be explored or interacted with in this program:
- Nursing
- Personal Care Attendant
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Laboratory Clinicians
- Oncology
- Respiratory Therapy
- Advanced Practitioner
- Environmental Services
- Customer Service
- Central Transport Service
- Radiology
- Pharmacy
- Cardiac Testing
- Neurology

By a 5-0 vote with four members abstaining, the Pennridge School Board voted to terminate its contract with Vermilion Education, a consulting firm hired to work with Curriculum Supervisors on Pennridge curriculum. The contract with Jordan Adams' consulting firm was approved in May of 2023 by the School Board.

Pennridge hires Brad Palmer as their next Assistant Superintendent
The Pennridge School District Community is excited to share news regarding a valuable addition to our educational leadership team.
As we continuously strive to enhance the learning experience for our students, Mr. Berrios spoke on behalf of Mr. Palmer. "I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Bradley Palmer as our Assistant Superintendent for Administration. Mr. Palmer will be taking over from Dr. Anthony Rybarczyk, who has accepted a position in another school district. In his role, Mr. Palmer will provide guidance and support to all K-12 Principals across our Pennridge schools. With more than 26 years of educational experience, Mr. Palmer has extensive expertise and dedication to academic excellence, making him an ideal fit for this position. With a wealth of leadership skills and a profound understanding of educational initiatives, Mr. Palmer brings invaluable knowledge, experience, and professional support to our district."
