Apothecary's Wife Tells All
Murderous Potions
The Wife's Statement
"Well, we were having dinner after we learned of the three men they found dead and he began to tell me of the young man that came to him asking for a poison to kill rats. We heard of how one of the three men was stabbed and the others seemed to be poisoned. I had to tell someone of what I knew. My husband is not a bad man, and I did not want to get him into any trouble, but I would rather tell all and live an honest life."
Death Takes Three Victims
Stuck on the Earth due to the plague, the "Old Man" purposefully sent the three men to find eight gold bushels which caused them to kill each other due to greed.
The Greedy Rioters
The three victims were murdered late yesterday afternoon after plotting against each other for the gold.
Apothecary Goes To Prison!
Unknowingly, the apothecary sold a potion to the youngest rioter that he used to kill the other two men.
Betraying Wife
Mrs. Fatcher went to police early yesterday morning, telling then of the three men everyone had been gossiping about. She reveals that her husband was the man that sold the "murderous potions" to the youngest victim.
Stunned By Wife's Confession
The Apothecary, Edgar Fatcher, told police that he would have never sold the potions to the boy if he knew his true intentions. "My wife assumed that I knew what the potions would be used for, I still cannot believe she turned me over to the authorities."
Apothecary Wants A Divorce
The last thing the apothecary told police before filing for a divorce was, "I wish I had chosen a better woman to stand by my side, someone who would not betray me such as she did." The wife is not at all surprised by her husband's actions, "He was always a weak man to begin with. He never liked to face his problems, only run away form them," she said.
