First Day coming soon, Wednesday August 21st
- Elementary students will be OUT OF UNIFORM the first day and should bring a snack. Attendance for elementary from 8:20-noon
- Junior High and High School students are to be IN UNIFORM and will be provided a light lunch of pizza and salad. Attendance for JH/HS will be from 8:20-2:00pm

- HEALTH FORMS: Check what is required for your child for this school year- health, vision and dental information on website
- IXL PRACTICE: Keep your brain sharp- All students have IXL accounts, be sure to continue practicing until school starts.
- Elementary LIBRARY SUMMER PROJECTS: Ms. Fatin Hasan gave every elementary student a Barnes and Noble book report form. Be sure to have those complete and head to a Barnes and Noble to redeem your prize, a FREE BOOK!
- UNIFORM READY? Be sure to order all your uniform needs at Schoolbells : 7661 S Harlem Ave, Bridgeview, IL 60455 . The Mother's Club also has gently used uniform pieces for sale in the school.

From more than 95,000 applicants from across the country to 1,896 Semifinalists to 251 Regional Finalists, to the 150 NATIONAL Coca-Cola Scholars, and TWO are from AQSA SCHOOL!!!!!!!!
We could NOT be more proud to have TWO of our wonderful Aqsa seniors, Amineh Ayyad and Amatullah Mir, be named NATIONAL Coca Cola SCHOLARS!

- a $20,000 college scholarship

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT $40,000 SCHOLARSHIP to Aqsa Senior!

Congratulations to Aqsa School seniors Amineh Ayyad and Zahra Bennett this year's Junior Achievement of Chicago Scholarship recipients!!
Scholarships were presented by Aqsa School Class of 2018 alumna and Junior Achievement scholar Illiana Sughayer! We are so proud of them all, mashAllah.
Students were awarded for high academic achievement and superb applications among a large pool of applicants. Amineh is the recipient of the highly competitive Colonel Henry Crown *$40,000* scholarship. May Allah give these students and all of our students, our graduates, and our alumni success in this life and the akhira and goodness in this life and the akhira, and may Allah bless our school, teachers, staff, parents and community. Ameen.
