JNES Night at the AHS Football Game

JNES encourages all students to attend the Athens High School football game against East Limestone this Friday night at 7:00 pm. Students will receive a FREE pass for the football game with one paid adult ticket. Lets show our support!! Go Eagles!!!!

United Way's Week of Caring

Thank you so much for those who were able to send in supplies for the Learn to Read Council. JNES was able to collect many items and will deliver them later this week. Thank you again for your support!!

Kindergarten, First and Third Grade Open House will be from 6:00-6:30pm.

PTF Meeting in the auditorium at 6:30pm.

Second and Fourth Grade Open House will follow the PTF meeting.

JNES Teacher of the Year

JNES proudly announces our 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Lori Hobbs.

Lori Hobbs, Kindergarten teacher, graduated from Scottsboro High School in 1996. She attended Northeast State Community College then graduated from Athens State University in 2000.

She is originally from Scottsboro, AL and officially made Athens her home in 1998. She is married to Michael Hobbs, a fifth grade teacher at Owens Elementary. They have two children, Elizabeth (14) and William (12) who both attend Athens City Schools.

Her goal is to be an encourager to her students and help them succeed in school! She believes learning should be fun, and strives to create a positive and caring environment in her classroom!!

Congratulations Mrs. Hobbs! Well deserved!!!
