STUDENT COUNCIL LEADERSHIP RETREAT
CHS Student Council traveled to Payson for a leadership retreat. Students worked to plan activities for the school year, along with activities to improve and strengthen their leadership skills. StuCo has exciting things planned for 2019-2020!
DELIVERING INSPIRATION
Mr. Sam Alexander, CHS CTE Teacher, is inspiring students and staff school-wide with signs of encouragement, kindness and caring. He welcomes his students with a sign each day as they enter his classroom, and he walks the halls inspiring others. One student shared that he walks his friend to class just to see the “sign guy”. Thanks for making a difference, Mr. Alexander!

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Good luck to the State Champion Wolves as they take on Liberty High School out of Henderson, NV this Friday at 7:00pm in Nevada. Based off last week’s scrimmage vs. Centennial and Highland, the Wolves are in fantastic form and ready to compete for another championship ring. We’re already gearing up for next Friday’s (8/30) game at Queen Creek H.S., and we’ll be kicking off all fall sports with an assembly and lunch-time activities that day. Watch for more info next week! Let’s do this, Wolves!
CASH FOR CLASSROOMS
It's time for our Chandler Education Foundation Cash For Classrooms fundraiser! We need your support to fund enrichment grants for our teachers here at CHS. Our goal is to raise at least $3,000. We appreciate your willingness to donate in order to provide more opportunities for students! Send in cash or check donations with your child or try the new Text to Give feature by texting the letters CEF to 480-712-4081.
TRICHOTILLOMAIA SUPPORT

IMPACT CHANDLER SCHOLARS
JUNIORS: The deadline for submitting 35 hours for the IMPACT Scholars program has been extended until August 30th.
The IMPACT Scholars program requires a student’s formal commitment during their freshman year. Students commit to:
· Maintain a 3.4 or greater GPA
· Cumulative attendance at 95% or greater
· Submit at least 35 hours of community service before the first day of their junior year
· Submit at least 100 hours of community service before April 1st of their senior year
Students who fulfill all program requirements are considered IMPACT Scholars and receive additional honors at graduation including letters of recommendation and an honor cord to wear with their cap and gown. IMPACT Chandler Scholars are then considered eligible to apply for an IMPACT Scholarship. In years past, this scholarship has been approximately $1,000 per award and is based upon available funding each year. In 2019, the Foundation awarded over $72,000 in IMPACT Scholarships.
FRESHMEN: To opt in or out of the program, you will need to log into your Infinite Campus, click account>More>IMPACT Chandler App
