Rabbits arrive Friday 5:00 - 9:00 pm
Rabbits will go home Saturday after show
Photos will be taken of exhibitors prior to show & will be on display in Multi Purpose Building.
Saturday, August 22, 2020
Swine, Goats, Cattle, Sheep, Horse - arrive Saturday 5:00 - 9:00 pm
These animals will be released Thursday morning. See schedule for specific times.
Sunday, August 23, 2020
Poultry arrive Sunday 8:00 - 10:00 am and show on Sunday at 1:00 pm
Poultry will go home Sunday after show

Junior Fair Livestock Shows - COVID 19 related guidelines
COVID-19 Plan: These guidelines may be revised prior to the County Fair pending “Responsible RestartOhio” updates. These guidelines were approved by the Defiance County Health Department and the Defiance County Ag Society ~ June 23, 2020

Format of Livestock Shows and/or Events in Show Arenas
- Class sizes will be limited to 10 exhibitors.
- Classes will be called to the show arena. Exhibitors are asked not to line-up/gather before class.
- Because judges need to examine the animal and thus will be close to the participants, it is recommended that judges wear masks at least during that part of the judging.
- Participants, spectators and judges shall maintain a distance of six feet between each other. There shall be no physical contact.
- Live Streaming of shows will be provided to reduce the number of vulnerable populations attending the shows live. (Tentative)
- Awards: 1-5 place premium ribbons handed to exhibitor as exiting ring. Trophies/Special awards will be placed on table outside of show arena for exhibitor to pick up.
- The microphone must be sanitized between speakers or each speaker must have his/her own dedicated microphone.
- Junior Fairboard members will wear facial coverings.
- High touch surfaces will be sanitized between shows.
- All fair goers, participants, and judges should avoid physical contact with others and should refrain from shaking hands, giving “high 5’s,” etc.
- Signs will be placed to remind guests of physical distancing requirements.

Guidelines for Spectators
- Each family should group together in the viewing area and there should be six feet between families.
- Immediate family members of the participants shall have priority in the viewing area.
- Hand sanitizer units will be placed strategically.
- Face coverings are recommended for spectators and fairgoers.
- All fair goers, participants, and judges should avoid physical contact with others and should refrain from shaking hands, giving “high 5’s,” etc.

2020 Livestock Sale
Livestock Sale is Friday, August 28, 2020 @ 9:00 am
Buyer Thank You Posters are still encouraged in the barns.
- Exhibitor only in the ring, no animals.
- No buyer’s lunch
- Buyers are asked to maintain social distancing at sale check-out, utilize touch-free/contactless payment options when possible, or invoice buyer.
- Viewing gallery limited to buyers and immediate family unless building capacity allows for more while following social distancing guidelines.
- Add-ons will be accepted on sale day but not immediately processed. Add-On invoices/receipts will be sent the following week.
- New in 2020, an On-Line Add-On platform will be open August 26 – September 16 for buyers to place individual exhibitor add ons via a website. The Platform will have list of 2020 Jr. Fair market animal exhibitors only.
- Animals are not available for purchase by buyer. Premium bids only.
- Champion/Reserve Champion Buyer photos will consist of exhibitor and buyer(s) only. No extra family members, etc.
- There will be no physical contact between buyers, exhibitors, participants (i.e., handshakes, hugs, high fives, etc.).
