Water Usage
Did you know that the average family uses 300-400 gallons of water per day? This includes 2 gallons per person to brush your teeth, and 25-50 gallons to take a single shower. All of California uses about 38,000,000,000 gallons for everyday activities.
Water distribution
Water that we can use comes from any non-salt water source. This means that only 1% is usable. 97% of water is salt water that is non-usable. 1% is freshwater that is usable, and the other 2% is frozen in glaciers.
