Cookies for Courage
Spicewood Student Council would love to keep the tradition alive this year of honoring our community's first responders with a little holiday cheer! If you would like to participate this year, please donate any amount of unopened store bought cookies by dropping them off in front of Spicewood on the morning of Thursday, December 17th. There will be a large sign out front. At the end of the day, if you would like to volunteer to help deliver cookies please contact Jeanne Klovert: jeanne_klovert@roundrockisd.org. Please see the Cookies for Courage flyer for more information.
Round Rock ISD Police Officer on Campus
We are happy to welcome Officer Magallanes to our campus! He is working with the RRISD Police Department, and will be on campus at various times each day to support our students and teachers. Please check out out this introduction and picture for more information.
Book Fair- Message from Mrs. Reeb
Our Scholastic Book Fair was a big success! We had a smidge over $8,000 worth of sales! Thank you to all who placed orders. Apologies to those who had trouble setting up eWallets or placing orders. On a side note, please remember that we encourage everyone to use our online catalog to place holds on our library books (FREE). Virtual students can pick up curbside and in-person students will have books delivered to the class. Click on the curbside video if you want to see how that is done. We will have curbside on Wed., Dec. 16.
Teacher Assignments for the 3rd 9 Weeks
- Students who have moved from virtual learning to in person learning for the 3rd 9 weeks will receive an introductory letter from their new in person teacher on Friday, December 18th.
- Classroom teacher assignments will not change for students who are remaining in their current instructional setting.
New Schedule for Virtual Learners
Beginning January 6th, virtual learners will have synchronous instruction in specials and Spanish. In order to offer synchronous specials, it was necessary to align the virtual schedule with our campus master schedule. As a result, the times for whole and small group instruction for virtual learners will change. I am hopeful that with advance notice, families are able to preview the schedule and plan accordingly. We are excited about this change and hope our virtual learners will enjoy engaging with specials and Spanish teachers. Please see the new virtual schedule for each grade level below which will begin January 6th.
(Students will receive their new small group time from their virtual classroom teacher on December 18)
