Message from Dr. Malally
Hello!
I hope everyone had an AMAZING weekend! We continue to be so lucky to enjoy such great weather. We had a fantastic turnout at our Saturday 100 Mile Club this past Saturday. Lots and lots of our families are getting to their 25 mile marker. Be sure to come into the school office to fill out a 100 Mile Club t-shirt order form, along with your $11 if you are a parent of sibling of a Condit student working on achieving your miles, and have reached 25 miles.
My guess is that most of you have received several of the notifications from CUSD asking you to answer and comment on the Thoughtexchange. Please be sure to complete it by Friday, January 19th. Condit and CUSD will use your information to address any concerns that you may have shared, and build upon any positives. If you have already completed it, thank you!
Parents - Please remember that this year we have alternated our PFA meeting times each month to make sure and accommodate all of our families. January's meeting is next Monday, January 22nd at 8:30 AM in our MPR. We hope to see you there. Our February meeting will be on Monday, February 26th at 6:00 PM.
Have a WONDERFUL week!

The Great Kindness Challenge is Monday, January 22nd - Friday, January 26th
Condit's Student Council will be hosting The Great Kindness Challenge next week, Monday, January 22nd - Friday, January 26th. The Great Kindness Challenge is a PreK-12 initiative that positively transforms school culture through kindness. When a school signs up, they are provided with tools that enable them to dedicate one week to kindness. Armed with a motivating and exciting “checklist” of random acts of kindness, students and educators can participate in the movement by checking off as many items on that list as they can in the span of a week, and transforming their school climate to a safe space for all students. Students will be sent home with copies of the checklist below, depending on grade level. The program is spreading kindness at an impressive scale: in 2017, over 10 million students, 15 thousand schools, and 90 countries committed 500 million acts of kindness. Condit is very excited to be a part of this.
We will celebrate the week with themed days each week:

Tuesday: Peace, Love, Hope and Kindness –Wear 70’s clothing. GROOVY!
Wednesday: Dreaming of a Kinder World – Wear your PAJAMAS to school.

Updates to 100 Mile Club in 2017-2018
The last update to 100 Mile Club is the the use of "Guest" sticks this year. We LOVE to have our family members join the 100 Mile Club, and want to include your miles in our school-wide goals. For any person that is not an enrolled student at Condit, we will pass out "Guest" sticks from now on. Students will continue to collect our usual sticks stamped with Condit on them, but the "Guest" sticks will be blue. If you are a family member that plans on joining the 100 Mile Club, please make sure that you are collecting the blue sticks for each lap that you do. Outside events will be credited based on the registration forms that indicate participants name.
*Thank you for your understanding with these changes.
