Weekly News - 3rd Edition
Week of September 16th
Dear HSES Families,
We are looking forward to seeing our families this week at our Back to School Nights. Back to School Night is an opportunity to hear from your child(ren)'s teacher about their day and expectations for the year. Please understand that these evenings are not intended for individual conferences.
Tonight includes 1st grade and 2nd grade with a start time of 6:00 p.m. with Administration and the PTA president. Classroom time will be from 6:35 to 7:15 p.m. In an effort to support our parking challenges, staff will be parking on the back blacktop. We will fill the back blacktop as much as possible. This will free up administration's parking spots, staff parking spots and more open spots in our side parking lot. Please feel free to park in these spots.
Yours in partnership,
HSES Administration

Screenagers - The Next Chapter
Screenagers the Next Chapter is about helping young people thrive in our screen and stress-filled world.
Filmmaker and physician Delaney Ruston uses a personal lens and professional eye to help parents flip the script on stress, anxiety, and depression. We follow Delaney as she suddenly finds herself at a loss on how to help her own teens as they struggle with their emotional wellbeing. Ruston sets out to uncover how we understand these challenges in our current screen-filled society. And how we as parents and schools empower teens with skills to overcome mental health challenges and build emotional agility, communication savvy, and stress resilience.
Here is the teaser video showcasing the film: https://vimeo.com/338126572/96f2a18b3
Please register your attendance to see the film during its premiere week at Mount Hebron High School on October 7th at 7PM.
