SLP Online 7/8 Families,
This week is a short week but that doesn’t mean learning stops! As spring continues to push forward, I want to keep a few dates at the forefront of your mind.
- Thursday, April 21: Students will be taking the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) Reading AND Math tests. The MCA’s are aligned to the MN state standards. Students will be taking the Reading test in the morning, have a break for lunch and then taking the Math test in the afternoon.
- Thursday, April 21: Office hours. Staff are available 3:30 – 5 p.m. for phone, drop in and WebEx conferences. If you need to connect with a teacher, this day would be a great time. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns as we move into the last seven weeks of the school year.
- Thursday, May 5 (8th grade only): Students will be taking the MCA Science test. Students will start the assessment at roughly 8 a.m. and should be done by 10 a.m.
- Wednesday, May 25 (8th grade only): Students will be taking the Reading and Math MAP tests. Similar to MCA’s, students will take the Reading in the morning and Math in the afternoon.
Please remember there is no school on Friday, April 15. I hope everyone has a great, extended weekend. As always, if you have any questions, please reach out!

Associate Principal
