Have A Blessed Summer, Crusaders!

Big picture

We are thankful for the service and sacrifice of so many families to protect our country and our freedoms. Thank you!

A NOTE FROM MRS. DONNELL

Another school year is in the books! Our newest graduating class has made the leap into adulthood and the next phase of their lives. A whole new world is opening up for each of them with exciting new opportunities. My wish for each of them is that they will continue to seek out God’s will for their lives and work each day to show Christ-like love to all they encounter along the way.

Please make sure you check your emails regularly this summer for any news about CCS. Our Elementary Enrichment will begin on June 5th, our Tuck-in Tuesday videos will begin on Tuesday, May 28th (look for them on our Facebook page) and our High School Math Enrichment will begin on Tuesday, June 4th. You can find all of the details for each of our exciting summer activities and enrichment sessions in our CCS Newsletter.

Field Day and Awards Day were such a blessing to everyone who participated. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to make each day memorable. Our Seniors will walk across that stage tonight (May 24th) and begin their next new adventure. May each of you spend some time reflecting on this school year and anticipating the 2019-2020 school year. May you all find time to spend with family and friends. May you all be blessed by God’s mighty works.

Have a blessed and safe summer!

Blessings,

Mrs. Donnell

3RD GRADE FUNd RUN

Third grade students reached a class goal of $180 which they personally gifted at CCS to missionaries from Resounding Hope. Resounding Hope provides families in Haiti with solar radios tuned to Christian Radio 4VEH. We are so happy that the missionaries will be able to purchase 3 radios for 3 families in Haiti that may not be able to read the Bible but now can hear God's word, in their language.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15

Avoiding Chore Wars

The lines are drawn; kids on one side with you on the other. The firefight of words draws an explosion of anger from all involved. Your children say things like, “It’s not fair!” “Why do I have to do all the work?” “You don’t love me!” Consider this resource, Avoiding the Chore Wars, a peace treaty to end the fighting. You’ll find tools to help you talk to your kids about responsibility, age appropriate chore lists, and more.

CCS VERSE OF THE WEEK

One word of God can accomplish infinitely more than thousands of our own. God's Word is powerful! It will accomplish what He desires in our own life and in the lives of others. Keep reading. Keep memorizing. Keep studying. Keep sharing. Keep hoping. And trust Him to accomplish His purposes.
