One-Act Play Finishes Amazing Season

The Argyle High School One-Act Play finished the year with an outstanding performance. OAP competed at the UIL Regional competition and finished fourth overall on Monday in Lubbock. The Eagles finished as one of the top 16 plays in the state!


Carlin Clark received Honorable Mention All-Star Cast and Jackson Barnes was named Best Performer. Both students helped AHS earn Region Academic points.

We Built A (Virtual) Zoo!

Due to district safety protocols, elementary students were unable to make their traditional field trip to the zoo this year.

Just like this entire year, AISD teachers have been very creative in adopting new ways to continue providing exceptional learning experiences for Eagle students. Hilltop Elementary kindergarten teachers brought a fun and interactive virtual zoo to their students this week in their classrooms and hallway.

AHS UNICEF Club Kicks Off Water Month Campaign!

Last year, UNICEF helped 39 million people gain access to safe water, reached 7,100 schools with water and hygiene facilities, brought safe water to 1,600 health clinics and hospitals and provided 22 million people with basic toilets.

This month the AHS UNICEF Club is raising awareness and funds to provide innovative solutions like solar pumps, wells, and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) facilities to children all over the world.

Final Virtual Day for Eagle Students Friday

As a reminder, the final virtual day of the school year will be Friday, April 16. This will be an asynchronous learning day for Eagle students. Four virtual days were added to the calendar to assist teachers with planning, working with students and professional development.

Off To The Races: West Elementary Teacher Honored

Argyle West Elementary teacher Natalie Belokin was surprised this week with a great honor from CoServ Electric. Belokin is being recognized as the CoServ Teacher of the Race at the Texas Motor Speedway and will be featured on the videoboard at the May 1-2 race weekend.


She is an avid Indy race fan and is being highlighted for her dedication in the classroom and community. Representatives from CoServ treated her with a gift basket and tickets to the Indy race in May. Belokin teaches third grade at West.

AISD Board of Trustee Election May 1

EARLY VOTING BEGINS MONDAY, APRIL 19


The Board of Trustees Election is May 1. Early voting begins Monday, April 19 and is open through Tuesday, April 27. Two Places on the School Board are up for election.

In Place 4, the ballot includes incumbent Ritchie Deffenbaugh and Phyllis Clark. Place 5 incumbent Dr. Leona McDade is running unopposed on the ballot. The video below is a virtual candidate forum for Place 4. The guest moderator is Argyle High School's Billy Mykel.

Regular School Board Meeting Monday, April 19

The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees will hold a Regular Board Meeting on Monday, April 19. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. The meetings are held in the AISD Board Room, located at 800 Eagle Drive. All visitors entering the building and board room are required to wear a face covering. The meeting will also be available via live stream on Argyle ISD's YouTube channel.

Bus Riders: Masks Required Reminder

This is a reminder for families with bus riders regarding face coverings. All students riding the bus must wear a mask as they board the bus. Several riders have been boarding buses without masks. Thank you for your assistance in helping keep our buses safe.

ENROLLMENT NEWS: New Student & Kindergarten Registration in May

Registration will open in May for new students and kindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year. New student and kindergarten enrollment requires a few steps and the details will be available on ArgyleISD.com.


Kindergarten registration opens May 3 and New Student Registration opens May 17. Please help us share this information with new parents in the community.

Heart Screenings Available Saturday

The Living for Zachary Organization has teamed up with the Alex Betzhold Memorial Fund to bring adult heart screenings to Argyle! The screenings will take place this Saturday. See the flyer below for details on how you can sign up.

Eagle Wrestlers Ready For Regionals!

Four Eagle wrestlers are headed to the UIL Region II Wrestling Championships on Friday and Saturday.

The four regional qualifiers include:
Zach Eades, Sophomore - 120 lbs (district runner-up)
Cullen Davee, Senior - 170 lbs (district champion)
Jax Ernest, Junior - 182 lbs (district champion)
Trenton Kelly, Junior - 220 lbs (district champion)

The regional competition will be held at Prosper's Rock Hill High School, located at 16061 Coit Rd. in Frisco. The start time on both days is 9 a.m. and all tickets are sold online. Click here for tickets on Friday. Click here for tickets on Saturday.

Argyle Tennis Sweeps District Titles!

It was a very successful District 7-4A competition for the Eagles boys' and girls' tennis teams. Combined they will be sending 15 players to the Class 4A Region I tournament which is the most in school history.

Track & Field Athletes Shine at Area Competition

The Argyle Eagles and Lady Eagles both earned District 7-4A championships and sent 31 athletes to the Region I Area competition on Wednesday in Springtown.


More success followed for the qualifiers as the Eagles and Lady Eagles won area titles. The Eagles qualified 20 athletes for the regional track meet in Lubbock next week. The Eagles qualified in 15 of 17 events.

For the Lady Eagles, the big news came in the form of two long-standing school records in the 4x100 (Sarah Runyon, Savannah Underwood, Kiera Inman & Trinity Carter) and 300 hurdles (Courtney Schleder).

Whataplayer! Tucker Selected to Whataburger Super Team

Eagle all-state offensive line Jack Tucker added another accolade to his memorable senior year. He was named to the Whataburger Super Team and was presented this honor this week at AHS by representatives from Dave Campbell's Texas Football and Whataburger.


Tucker will soon head to Texas Tech, where he has signed to play next fall.
