E-Hall Pass @ MMS
CCTL Early College
On Tuesday, 11/16, the CCTL early college will be speaking to 8th grade students on the benefits that early colleges can offer them. If MMS parents have questions or would like to hear about early colleges in Iredell County, a second presentation will be held for parents in the Staff Development room of MMS. This will happen on Tuesday, 11/16, from 4:00-5:00pm. All are welcome to attend and ask questions!
MMS Poinsettias Sale
MMS is partnering with Patterson farms to bring MMS Families the opportunity to deck their halls and help out the school with holiday Poinsettias. MMS will provide poinsettia for $15 and pick up at the school. All Poinsettia's are in 6-inch pots and come with custom wraps. Flowers can be picked up on Saturday, December 11th.
Progress Reports
Virtual MMS
Wednesday, November 17th is an asynchronous day for VMMS students. Students must log into all of their Canvas courses and complete the work provided by the teachers. If work is not completed, then the student will be marked absent for the day.
Friday, November 19th is materials pickup for VMMS. Please arrange to pick up these materials between 9 am and 1 pm on this day.
The VMMS Early Release schedule has been updated. Please use this link to view the schedule for Tuesday, November 23rd.

Minutes from PTSO Meeting
The minutes from the November PTSO meeting will be available next week. Our next PTSO meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1st at 8am. We will send out the virtual link to the meeting the night before. We hope to see you at the meeting!

MAWI Lessons
During one class session the week of November 15th, the MMS ELA department will facilitate the following MAWI lessons:
7th Grade: MAWI Lesson #7- Get Organized
8th Grade: MAWI Lesson #7- Building Compromise
MMS is using the MAWI program to facilitate social and emotional lessons that are designed to help students build life-long coping skills.
