Year 8 BasketballThe Year 8 Basketball team travelled to Latimer School to represent our school in a tournament involving two teams from each school. The students all participated very well, one team finishing second. | DfE Visit Three policy advisers from the Department for Education visited to learn about our technical education and curriculum. | CBBC Artist of the Year Mrs Morgan has entered three Year 8 students Lana, Corina and Ella into the CBBC Young Artist of the Year competition, we will keep you updated on their progress. |

DfE Visit
Iulia - Archery Champion Champion archer Iulia recently represented GB in World Cup competitions in France and Germany. | DfE Visit Our visitors were 'very very impressed' with the technical focus after they visited to see how STEM subjects are promoted in lessons and as prospective careers. | National Apprenticeship Week This week is National Apprenticeships week. Students took part in an assembly with Mrs Arnold looking at apprenticeships. |

Stars of the Week:
- Miss Williams would like to say well done to Year 8 student Millie who recently competed in a Gymnastics competition with her club and was awarded the gold medal for floor and was the Club champion in her level and age range. Millie will now compete in the County competition in March.
- Miss Jenkins has nominated Year 11 student Jack H for for his fantastic English essay that he completed for homework.
- Miss Tooms has nominated Year 8 student Dexter for his great persuasive speech writing on the importance of maintaining biodiversity in Science.
- Mrs Vaghadia has nominated the following students, Year 9 student Kelly D and Brandon A for excellent effort and work in Sociology this week, also Year 8 student Harley H for excellent effort and work in RSCS.
- Mr Godfrey has nominated Year 9 student Saul for applying his prior knowledge of Physics to a new concept superbly.
- Miss Fenner has nominated her Year 7 English class for for their excellent dystopian creative writing. Also nominated are Year 10 students Sam, Ellie, Ashley, Carmen, Brady, Tamara and Eoin for their excellent progress and focus in their English mock.
Harry Potter Event

Year 10 Science
Year 10 triple Science Biology students took part in a heart dissection. They worked brilliantly and made links between the structure and function of the heart.
