Upon Mrs. Goettl's Ride to School this morning..........
Today on my bike ride to school I came upon Jacob Weeks with some of his family celebrating the turkey he just shot on his morning hunt.
Congratulations Jacob!
A rite of passage for 4th grade students as they prepare for 5th grade is choosing to do band or choir in place of general music.
Here students are testing instruments out and ordering rental instruments.
It looks like almost half of the 4th grade will be in band and the other half in choir.
If you still intend to sign up for band and missed the Band Sign Up Event on Thursday night, just contact our band director, Mr. Peters @ petersn@cadott.k12.wi.us

Staff Appreciation Week May 7th - 11th
Parents and friends of Cadott Elementary and PACE; we need help for teacher appreciation week. We all know that our teachers are our SUPERHEROES! That is why the week of May 7-11th we are celebrating our favorite SUPERHEROES, our teachers and other staff at Cadott Elementary. Below is our mission information; we already have a fun activity planned and a special gift for the staff. What we are hoping for is an individual or group to get together and 'host' a day:) This means you can either donate the items needed, set them up or just provide the funds and we can make it happen :).
If we all help out, even a little, we can make this week out of this world.
Please let Beth Schneider (through messenger or text) know if you are willing to help out. Thank you in advance!

Encourage Your Children to Read through Biblionasium
Dear Parents,
As a school, we are trying to build a culture of reading amongst students. To help with this, we are using Biblionasium as a way for students to track and log their reading, review books, plan for books they want to read in the future and share the books they love with their friends and teachers.
Parental encouragement at home can make a considerable difference in students’ reading success. I would encourage you to become an active part of your child’s reading experience to see what your child is reading, wants to read, and to also promote the love of reading at home.
Biblionasium is an online tool that students can access from any computer or Chromebook with an Internet connection. To access your child’s Biblionasium account and to see what your students are logging in class, please see these Biblionasium Parent Instructions.
Sincerely,
Nick Kotek (District Library Media Specialist)
