Spring Priority Registration

Priority Registration is a benefit available to TRiO FESP students that ensures students get an advantage to register for courses. To earn priority registration this semester, students must complete an appointment with a FESP staff member, have all required FESP assessments completed/submitted, and attend either TRiO Day on Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24, 2018 or attend one TRiO FESP workshop.

Please go to our TRiO FESP website to schedule your appointment!

All requirements must be completed by Tuesday, March 06, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. to earn priority registration for the Fall 2018 semester. See below for workshop details.

TRiO Day


When: Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24

National TRiO Day is a day of celebration, reflection, and action around increased access to higher education for disadvantaged students. Federal TRiO Programs help low-income and first generation student enter college and earn a college degree.

This year Western Michigan University's TRiO Future Educator Success Program, TRiO Student Success Program, TRiO Upward Bound, and Michigan Gear-Up has teamed up to create an event just for you.

WMU offers a variety of services to meet the tutoring needs of students. We encourage our students to take advantage of these FREE services and to let us know if we can assist you with identifying or accessing tutoring services.

Developmental Math Lab offers:

 Tutoring for MATH 1090, MATH 1100, MATH 1110

 College Success Seminars

 Supplemental Instruction

The Writing Center The Writing Center represents one of Western Michigan University’s commitments to helping students learn how to learn. The goal is to help writers improve their overall writing choices.

For additional services, tutoring and success strategies, please make an appointment with a TRiO FESP Staff member. We want to provide you with information to assist you with your academic goals.

Cord Ceremony

TRIO FESP would like to congratulate Marina Garber, Rebecca Finn, and Kendal Wigboldy on graduating this Fall 2017 semester. We hosted a cord ceremony to recognize their accomplishments.

WMU Make A Difference Award

During Fall 2017 semester our very own administrative assistant Harmony Williams of the TRIO FESP office was recognized for her great work and dedication to students.
