He was born as regular kid having a dream of flying and touching the surface of the moon. He started flying in dangerous missions when he was 20 years old.
Neil was a research pilot and tested the X-15 7 times. At 9:32 A.M. on July 16th, 1969 was the launch of Apollo 11. On that mission was the landing on the moon and the first time ever for man to touch the moon.
After coming back from the moon the astronauts and their wives embarked on a 3 day parade threw New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Neil was awarded with the highest US civilian award. He sadly died on August 25th, 2012 at the age of 82.

*Neil became one of the first groups of 6 astronauts to receive the Congressional Space Medal of Honor
* Neil and his wife along with the astronauts and their wives all were on a 1 day parade through New York city, Chicago and last was Los Angeles.
