what will Canada's population look like in 2060?
Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world, but will it always have a big population. In 1867 Canada's population was close to 3.5 million people, currently Canada's population is 35.5 million but who knows maybe by tomorrow Canada's population well change. Currently Canada's population growth rate is 0.76%.
Between 2006 and 2011, around 1.2 million foreign-born people immigrated to Canada. These recent immigrants made up 17.2% of the foreign-born population and 3.5% of the total population in Canada. Most immigrants are coming from Asia and Europe. I feel like by 2060 Canada would have a lot of immigrants because Canada is a very sustainable country and people want to live in sustainable country.
Currently, there are 617 First Nation communities, which represent more than 50 nations or cultural groups and 50 Aboriginal languages.Canada's First Nations have been in the for at least 12,000 years, maybe even longer. The Aboriginal population in Canada is the fastest-growing segment of the Canadian population. I think the amount of first nations in Canada well shorten because right now 50 per cent of first nations live in poverty
In conclusion I believe that Canada's population well grow due to the amount of immigrants and births, but cause 50% of first nations live in poverty so Canada's population won't grow as much.
