Kindergarten Lunch Bunch
These Kindergarten students were chosen to have lunch with the principals because they are respectful, responsible, and kind! Keep up the great work Powell Panthers!
Our author visit with Susan Stevens Crummel was amazing. If your child came home excited about the books but you missed out on ordering, here's some great news!
The link to order books will remain open through Thanksgiving week and Mrs. Susan has offered to leave some signed stickers so we can add signatures to those books as well (while supplies last).
Please scan the QR code or go to the online order form by Saturday, November 25th. Thank you so much for supporting our book fairs so we can continue to bring author experiences to Powell students.
2nd Grade Family Folk Dance Program
Referral Requests for Gifted and Talented
Testing Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Although the testing will not take place until late January, referral requests are accepted at this time. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or campus staff. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child because CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment. If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher. Referrals will be accepted October 2 - December 15, 2023. You may request a referral form from the front office or your child's teacher. You can also find the referral form and other GT information on the CISD GT homepage https://www.conroeisd.net/department/tl/gifted-talented/ > scroll down to program forms > referral forms. Please send the completed form to the school addressed to Monica Hock.
