Parent-Teacher Communication
There will be no in person parent-teacher conferences this fall. Teachers will be meeting with parents via phone, Webex video conference, or through email communication.
- Oct. 15 parent-teacher communication day.
- Teachers will work additional hours outside of the normal daytime hours to connect with families.
- Teachers are reaching out to families to confirm best communication methods and times.
- A progress report with current grades for students will be emailed via school messenger by Oct. 14.
- The grades received are an in progress grade for the semester. Semester grades in December are what are placed on a student's transcript.
Support WHS Community Club
We need your help!
The Westside High School Community Club will be providing teacher meals for Fall Parent-Teacher Communication Day, Thursday, October 15th, 2020. For the safety of our teachers and Covid-19 guidelines, we will be providing 300 individually boxed meals, prepackaged snacks and drinks for the faculty. Every donation of $10 will pay for one teacher.

School Counseling Information
- Saturday, October 17th-8 am at Westside High School.
- The test is a Pre-SAT test.
- It is used to identify potential students for National Merit Scholarships.
- Some juniors and sophomores take this test. Students with demonstrated aptitude in one or more academic areas are invited to take the test. Other students are welcome to sign up for the test.
- We still have a few spots available for the test. Sign up your student through MySchoolBucks if interested.
- Deadline for signup is Tuesday, October 13.
FAFSA
- This is the federal application for student aid.
- October 1st was the first day families of seniors could complete FAFSA information for next school year.
- EducationQuest Foundation provides free assistance with completing the FAFSA and will set up virtual sessions to assist families.
