From the Desk of Mrs. Eske:

Dear Fourth Grade Families,

I hope that everyone had an opportunity to enjoy every second of the time that we had off for Thanksgiving Break!! The time off was certainly nice, but I will be so happy to be back with the kids tomorrow, for at least a few more weeks before our next big break!!! :) Winter Break is right around the corner... Dec. 22-Jan.3rd, but until then here are some events and activities that are sure to "LIGHT UP" our DECEMBER!!

One of the most anticipated of them all is our Classroom Winter Party!!! It is coming up on Wednesday, Dec. 21st, from 2:30-3:20!! If you would like to volunteer for this party, please complete the form below. Thank you SO much for considering!!! I would love for this to be the most wonderful Winter Party ever for Team Eske!!

More December Events

IGNiTE Night

How is technology being used at school? How can it best be used at home? Get the answers to these questions at our first IGNiTE Night! You and your child will learn about how to manage technology at home, ways to use it for learning, and you will leave knowing how your child uses it at school to meet their learning goals. Your family is invited to join us on Monday, December 5th from 6:00pm-7:00pm for this special event. You are able to choose what sessions you want to attend by RSVPing on this Google Form by December 1st. If you are not able to RSVP, you are still welcome to attend. We look forward to seeing you that night!

Holiday Grams

To spread some holiday cheer, Student Council will be selling Holiday Grams again this year. The money raised will directly go to our Leadership Program. Holiday Grams will be sold from 8:20am-9:00am on December 5th-16th. They will also be sold at IGNiTE night. Click here for more details.

Holiday Night

Student Council will be sponsoring a Holiday Craft, Minute-to-Win-It, and Carol Sing-a-Along night on December 19th from 6:00-7:00pm. There will be hot chocolate and popcorn available for purchase, but everything else will be free. Student Council is asking for a donation of a stuffed animal in return for attending this event. The stuffed animals will be given to children spending the holidays in the hospital.

Reading: We were so blessed before break to have the opportunity for Mr. Dake to come in and be our special guest for Reader's Workshop. He complimented us on our hard work and said that we did a wonderful job staying on task and completing our rotations!! He was very impressed!! I am so proud of TEAM Eske!! This week we will continue to improve our reading skills, while completing our rotations. We will also continue making inferences and add to one another's thinking.

We also have a good start on our Multiplication Timed Tests!! Some students have already mastered their numbers through 5's.
