NRWHS December 2018 Newsletter
Mission: To prepare each student for a successful future
We Want Your Feedback!
I hope that you all had a relaxing and rewarding Thanksgiving holiday. We know that December will be a fast and furious month of instruction so we have been working hard to analyze the results of the first round of interim assessments. This will enable us to revisit specific skills and other content in a timely fashion in our courses. Similarly, students should be analyzing their assessment results so they can identify personal learning goals for the coming quarters. These reflective, goal-setting practices will reap benefits for our students not only in June but also in their future pursuits.
We are committed to remaining transparent regarding our current levels of achievement. As a result, you will see various scholastic measures in this newsletter that speak to our current levels of progress. Please note:
- Our plans for improvement are captured in our annual School Improvement Plan. If you have any feedback on this plan, please feel free to share it with me.
- We value the feedback of our parents and community members; you are truly our partners in education! We would like to solicit this feedback through a Shared Decision Making Team consisting of parents, students, community members, teachers, and administrators. The purpose of the team will be to develop initiatives that will support our shared goals. If you are interested in serving on this team or if you have any questions regarding it, please feel free to reach out to me.
Thank you for your continued support!
- Brian Read, Principal
