Library / Media Center
We are so excited that poetry month is here! We celebrated by setting up a poetry display on the circulation desk highlighting a couple of poetry books along with a laptop where students could craft their own magnetic poetry online. Blackout poetry was available at our Creativity Corner where Navigators could draw inspiration from examples and use the pages to make their very own blackout poem. Our wonderful students and staff brought us some of their very own poetry to display!
Ramadan began in March, and in April we filled up a larger display with books featuring Muslim characters. Arab- American Heritage month is also ongoing, and we have displayed some books written by Arab authors. Ramadan display pictured below.
Finally, it’s Autism Acceptance Month and we hung up informational posters in celebration. We have made it a priority to expanded our book selection written by and about characters with Autism.
