We had an amazing September!
We enjoyed getting to know each other, exploring Camp Herms and the Tilden Nature Area while learning outdoors together!
We have been practicing:
- reading and remembering our gear list
- reading stories as a group, with a partner and on our own
- noticing our surroundings
- sharing our experience through writing
- working together to care for our group and our environment
Our goal this month has been to practice each skill for at least 10-15 minutes. Many activities were so engaging that we spent more than 15 minutes doing them, although we generally took breaks from or switched between activities every 10, 15, or 20 min.
We will continue practicing and strengthening these skills to build our resilience and stamina.
The children have been enjoying working on their OWLS Notebooks and referencing resources in their OWLS folders!
If you have any questions, I have a FAQ page on our website. You may also email me: contact@seedsoflovecollective.org or message me on Facebook.
With love and gratitude,
Brooke
