Pioneer Trail Mission

Pioneer Trail Elementary will foster a community of students, parents, and staff dedicated to the development of every individual’s ability to learn. Staff and parents will expect each student to achieve at his or her maximum potential, both academically and behaviorally. As a community, we promote a safe, supportive environment that encourages curiosity, inquiry, and a life-long passion for learning.

Need to Knows

Grades should be updated in Infinite Campus every Tuesday. When you have assessed a standard, enter the rubric score in IC.

Please pay your social committee dues as soon as possible! Envelope is in the vault. Please cross your name off when you pay.

Typing Instructor is ready! Students in grades 2-5 should be accessing this program for a minimum of 20 minutes each week.

October 14 is the date of our next Faculty Meeting. Mr. Linthacum will be here to discuss our facility needs. This meeting is mandatory for all staff ( facilitators and secretaries). Make arrangements now to be in attendance the meeting will last approximately 1 1/2 hrs. so it will end around 5pm.

Update your websites!

Share/send/give your Math Unit Pre/Post test results with Dr. Wilson.

Digital Literacy Wall - please make sure at your next Teamwork Tuesday that your team has updated the wall to reflect beginning of the year scores. If you have students who have IEPs, 504s, are ELL, EER, etc... Please make a note by clicking in the name box for that student and adding a note.

Want to recognize a student or staff member who is going above and beyond? Write them a Positive Office Referral! It's great to recognize the accomplishments of students (and staff too)!

School Improvement Goals

ELA Goal: By June 2016, the total percentage of students (grades 1-5) performing on grade level as measured by the the SRI will increase from 69% to 81%.

Goal 2: By June 2016, 90% of the students at each grade level (K-5) will master the essential skills in math at 80% or higher.

Goal 3: By June, 2016, the number of discipline referrals will be reduced by 10% annually from the year with the lowest number recorded discipline referal as measured by entries into SWIS. (712 major referrals 2014-2015)
