Turkeys in Disguise Due on Monday
On Monday the kids brought home a turkey to decorate for our Turkey in Disguise Project. Each student will need to decorate a turkey at home and bring it back by Monday. Tuesday will be fine if you forgot or are just learning about this ;) Turkeys can be decorated by just the student or with a parent's help. For lots of cute ideas, search "turkey in disguise" on Pinterest. This project will help us wrap up our persuasive writing unit. The kids will be writing a persuasive letter from a turkey's point of view on why we shouldn't eat turkey on Thanksgiving.
Our attendance last week was 97.9%. Our weekly goal is 95.8%. Awesome!
This week, the students learned about the 4 types of reading questions.
The 4 types are: Right There, Think & Search, Author & Me, and On My Own.
Here they are participating in a group sort, where they had to discuss and agree on the type of question being asked.
