All about the Nile river
The Aswan High Dam.
The Aswan High Dam is located in Aswan Egypt. It was built in 1960-1970. Some land forms around it are The Nile River and Eastern African Drainage Basin. The Aswan High Dam was built to control flooding, to provide water for irrigation, and also to create hydroelectric power. The Aswan High Dam does use turbines, but does not cause pollution. The only down fall about the Dam is that there are much less fish in the waters around it.
Lake Tana
Lake Tana is located in Africa along the headwaters of the Blue Nile. It is a greenish looking lake with rocky shores. It is also where the Nile River mouth is. It is near the blue Nile which is a very fast and powerful river. Also Around 615 a Spanish Priest made his way to Lake Tana.
Cairo Egypy
Cairo Egypt is a huge city near the Nile River. The Nile River actually goes straight through Cairo Egypt also it is one of the cleanest parts of the Nile. Cairo Egypt is about 600 miles from the Aswan High Dam. There are more than 11 million people in Cairo also they all surround the Dam. Since in Cairo Egypt has part of the cleanest water they get most of there water from the Nile River.

As Sudd is located in Africa along the White Nile. As Sudd has lots of grassy Islands. Also lots of different animals that live there. As Sudd is east of the Blue Nile. And at that point it becomes a bigger (Wider) River.
