Macbeth in Transformation

Journey of a man falling from grace

Macbeth Act 4

In Act 4 Macbeth becomes less worried about losing his throne since the witches said none of woman born can harm Macbeth, but they also said beware of Macduff. This makes Macbeth decide to have Macduff's family brutally killed.

Quote 1: "Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! Beware Macduff./

Beware the thane of Fife. Dismiss me. Enough."

Quote 2: "The castle of Macduff I will surprise,/

Seize upon Fife, give to th' edge o' th' sword/

His wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls/

That trace him in his line. No boasting like a fool./

This deed I’ll do before this purpose cool./

But no more sights!—Where are these gentlemen?/

Come, bring me where they are."
