Help support our 5th grade class!!
We are raising money for our 5th grade promotion and ceremony as well as our class gift. We will be selling hot chocolate/ baked goods as well as selling Holiday Grams beginning Sat., Dec. 5th during Holiday Hotcakes. We will also be selling Holiday Grams during the Holiday Lunches Monday, Dec. 7th and Tuesday, Dec. 8th as well as in the mornings before the morning bell Monday, Dec. 7th- Wed., Dec. 16th. The cost of the grams are $1. Share the holiday spirit while supporting our 5th grade class!
Hopefully, you have had a chance to create your student's login on www.quavermusic.com. It is a REALLY fun, engaging website that encourages students' creativity! I hope you will allow them to explore, and become better at musical concepts and skills! Here are some tips for success on Quaver:
- If your student forgets their password, please send Mrs. Hower an email at email@example.com. I can reset the password for them. Once it is reset, you will get an email with directions to create a new password.
- Students can create pieces of music on the cool Quaver apps, and enter them into weekly contests on the website!
- Have your students try out the following: QSkits, QBackbeat, QStrum, QDancer, QGrooves. They can all be accessed from the tab at the bottom called APPS.
Hope this helps! Mrs. Hower
Yearbook Photo Needs:
Fifth Grade Yearbook Dedications:
Are you working on your 5th grader's Yearbook Dedication? The order forms have gone home, and there are copies on the Yearbook bulletin board, next to the Clinic. You can also download the form off your 5th grader's eClass page. Let me know if you need help! Feel free to look in last year's yearbook for inspiration.
Please don't wait until the last minute! Space is limited.
Yearbook Photo Needs:
If you've taken some cute shots of your child's class, please upload them! I have LOTS of classes with no photos submitted so far.
Small groups work best, with kids looking at the camera. I also need a class photo with the teacher. Please tag your photos with the teacher's name.
Remember, we want EVERY student in the yearbook!
Did you go to the Mulberry Reads celebration? Please upload your photos! If you're still reading the book, then take a family selfie while you're enjoying this book and then upload it. Your picture might be featured in the yearbook!
How do you submit photos for the yearbook? Upload your photos at www.replayit.com from a laptop or tablet. There is also a ReplayIt app for iphone or android. Please tag your photos with either the teacher's name or the event name. (The app is faster...)
Thanks to the following people for uploading great photos this week!
Kitty Vera, Michelle Martinez, Tricia Sung, Jina Gerome, and Diana Singh
Parent Perception Surveys
If you have not completed the online parent perception survey, we encourage you to do so via the Parent Portal. Simply log on and follow the link on the home page. The survey is available in English and Spanish through December 11, 2015.
Thank you in advance for helping to celebrate the work of our school and for providing input so that we can continue to improve for our kids.
We strongly encourage you to send your child home the same way every day. However, we do understand that emergencies do arise. Should you need to change your child's transportation, a hand written note from home is required with a parent signature.
Phone calls and emails are not accepted.
