Wren Elementary ---October 5, 2015
I hope all of you received the e-mail regarding our upcoming fundraiser at Wren Elementary. Hurricane Hoopla begins on Monday. We look forward to doing our part to help support the many great things going on at Wren Elementary School! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Important Information
- Captain of the Week is Andrew . Way to go, Andrew!
- For those of you who signed up for the Reading Challenge, it begins tomorrow. I'll send you an e-mail and a hardcopy with information on completing this week's activity with your child. I'm sure that your child will enjoy this special project each week with you. Thanks for signing up for this!
- Picture money or pictures are due by Friday, 10/9.
- This Friday, we will have a visit from the firetruck as a part of our fire safety unit. Everyone is excited about this visit.
- I will be sending home information this week about the SeeSaw app that allows me to post pictures or samples of your child's work for you to see. It is for you to see only your child's work. I hope you'll enjoy this as yet another way to know what is going on at school with your child.
- The new Scholastic Book Flyer went home on Friday. The orders are due on Monday, 10/12.
- On October 22, our class will be taking a field trip to May-Lan Tree Plantation to visit the pumpkin patch. Letters and information came home on Tuesday. We look forward to this special time with your children and those of you who can join us.
- The temperatures are getting cooler and that usually means a light sweater or jacket. At this time of year, we encourage you to leave a light jacket/sweater in your child's backpack. Temperatures change often and we go outside every day that the weather permits. Also, sometimes our classroom is cooler than your child may like it. Don't forget to make sure your child's name is on all things you send to school!
