A Word From The Captain
Fall is here!
This time of year brings the idea of cooler weather, festivals, holidays and fun! Unfortunately it also brings cold and flu season. We will be doing our part and sharing valuable information about the importance of hand-washing with all our students. Please do your best to encourage this germ killing practice at home as well. Although we encourage attendance at school every day, it is always best to keep sick children home to rest and avoid infecting others.
Celebration!
Due to the hard work and dedication of the faculty, students, and families, we are in the final stages of becoming an AVID National Demonstration School! During this process we have refined our practices in four main areas: systems, leadership, instruction, and culture. We love that AVID always ensures we are on a continuous improvement cycle and are excited to officially start sharing the wonderful things that happen here with other educators. We recently hosted the Superintendent and many others from the island of St.Croix, all the AVID Elementary contacts in the district, and the AVID program manager for the Eastern Division. Everyone was blown away by what we consider to be "business as usual" on our campus. Find out more about AVID and AVID at Rampello at the bottom of this newsletter.
We hope to see you all soon at Fall Mega Night, end of the quarter awards ceremonies (more information for each grade-level to come home soon), and the Book Fair!
Thank you for entrusting us to educate your most precious commodity,
Educationally Yours,
Principal Liz Uppercue
Safety from Mrs.Uppercue and Officer Mike

Rampello is a proud AVID School!
Rampello AVID students create inspirational signs for local non-profit 5K
For the 2nd year in a row, AVID students will be motivating runners not to give up, to show grit, and more! These determined students are working to pick or create a quote that means something to them and share it with the runners of The Live for 24 Foudnation 5K/Mile Relay. This local non-profit works to afford children in the Tampa Bay area opportunities and partners closely with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay.
