State Assessment Teacher Committees
CTE teachers serve as content experts in the development of items for Arizona's CTE Technical Skill Assessments. ADE relies on teachers to develop, review, and edit assessment items. Below are the dates for ADE's 2018 Assessment Teacher Committees.
These all day meetings are held at ADE and will be customized according to the status and needs of each program, with the following priorities:
- Updates on Technical Skill Assessments
- Utilizing the Blueprints for Instruction and Assessment to validate the standards, instruction, and assessment
- Improving and developing test items
- Realigning items in the current item banks with newly updated standards / measurement criteria
Teacher participants receive training in the assessment process and a stipend from ADE. Committees are limited in size and applications to participate in the April through June meetings will be announced by ADE in February.
Arizona CTE Curriculum Consortium
As blueprints and frameworks are developed they are posted on both the consortium site (wiki) and ADE's site under "CTE Programs and Standards". Learn more with these videos:
Development of the blueprints and frameworks continues throughout the year. Watch for emails from the AZ CTE Curriculum Consortium inviting you to contribute to the process by completing a survey or joining a work team.
