What We Are Learning

Not Pictured Above:

9 Days left countdown activity- Craft Day

7 Days left countdown activity- Paper Airplane Day- Thank you to Curtis Grafton for helping us make our own, it wasn't easy! I was impressed to see many friends making more airplanes during choice time, on their own!!

Stay tuned for next weeks' activities!

Homework/ Summer Ideas

Your child probably told you, but there is NO HOMEWORK for the remainder of the school year! Thank you for taking time last month to help your child write sentences.

I have sent home several of your child's journals, books, etc. that they work on throughout the year. These can be used for extra practice or something to do on an airplane or car ride.

Summer ideas:

Sight Words- hopscotch, writing with sidewalk chalk, write on "targets" and shoot at them with Nerf guns naming the ones that are hit! License plate letters and/or environmental print to find the letters needed to spell the sight words.

Math- jump rope or any other physical activity and count how many times you jump, and any of the games above using numbers instead of words. With Nerf targets, add the numbers together, or the one who hits the greater/lesser number wins.

Reading- RAZ Kids should still be available over the summer, I do not close accounts! Enroll in the public library reading program!

Writing- Write letters/postcards to friends, family members or ME! My address is: 3397 Hawthorne Drive, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126 I promise to write back!

Most importantly play, play, play and have a safe and fun summer!!!

Volunteers Needed/Sign-up Genius for Graduation Reception

We have completed the pages for our Memory Books, and I am in need of a few volunteers on Monday and Tuesday next week to put them together and bind them. Please email me if you are available to help for about an hour either day. Thanks so much!

Please watch for a Sign-up Genius and if possible, sign up to help provide refreshments for our Graduation reception. Thanks!

THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR CHILD WITH ME THIS YEAR, IT'S BEEN A JOY GETTING TO TEACH SUCH AMAZING KIDS!
