What We Are Learning
10 Days Left Countdown Activity-iPads!

8 Days Left Countdown Activity- Bubbles!
Using a chenille stick, each child made a wand using any shape of his/her choice. We made bubbles and quickly learned that regardless of the wand's shape, the bubbles were always sphere shaped!
6 Days Left Countdown Activity- Shaving Cream!
We practiced writing letters, numbers, words, shapes and our names, but mostly enjoyed smearing it all over the table and our hands!

7 Days left countdown activity- Paper Airplane Day- Thank you to Curtis Grafton for helping us make our own, it wasn't easy! I was impressed to see many friends making more airplanes during choice time, on their own!!
Stay tuned for next weeks' activities!
Homework/ Summer Ideas
I have sent home several of your child's journals, books, etc. that they work on throughout the year. These can be used for extra practice or something to do on an airplane or car ride.
Sight Words- hopscotch, writing with sidewalk chalk, write on "targets" and shoot at them with Nerf guns naming the ones that are hit! License plate letters and/or environmental print to find the letters needed to spell the sight words.
Math- jump rope or any other physical activity and count how many times you jump, and any of the games above using numbers instead of words. With Nerf targets, add the numbers together, or the one who hits the greater/lesser number wins.
Reading- RAZ Kids should still be available over the summer, I do not close accounts! Enroll in the public library reading program!
Writing- Write letters/postcards to friends, family members or ME! My address is: 3397 Hawthorne Drive, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126 I promise to write back!
Most importantly play, play, play and have a safe and fun summer!!!
