We aren't harming anyone

The Rubber Tappers of the Amazon Rainforest

What we want....

We believe that we should get our own section of the rainforest to get sap from the trees. Why shouldn't we? We want to preserve the trees and keep them from harm. Without those trees we wouldn't have money to support our families. So there really isn't any reason to think that we would ever harm the rainforest.

Amazon Adventures - Rubber Tapping

WHEN IT STARTED

We came to the Amazon in the 1870's looking to make rubber. We found that we could take the sap from the trees to make rubber. We have been tapping the trees since.

We honestly mean no harm, it's how we make a living for ourselves and our families.

We have helped make rubber ducks, bands, tires, even phone cases!

WE DON'T HARM THE TREES, RIGHT?

Many people think that us rubber tappers harm the trees, but we don't! We don't want to harm the trees they help us make a living!

We believe that we should get our own section of the rainforest to do our jobs. It is difficult to get sap from the trees when they are being cut down. But if we got our own section of the Amazon we would protect the trees and get sap from them.
