Ethos. Pathos and Legos.

Ethos - The credibility of a text. Used to convince others by the charactor of the author/speaker. Need to make yourself an authority on the subject aswell as being likeable and worthy.     Pathos - The emotion of a text. Persuading people by appealing to their emotions. Language choice effects emotional response.      Logos - The logic of a text. Persuading readers by reasoning. Regers to the internal consistancy and calrity of the speech, the logic of the reason and effectibes of supporting evidence.


A genre that sets out to improve bad behaviour through sarcasm and irony. Humourously depicts a current state of affairs. About making fun of vices, foolishments and short comings. Can be found in novels. plays, poems and T.V.
