Panther Pause
January 2014 edition
Principal's Pause
A special guest will join us during school Monday, in addition to attending "Meet the Principal Night." Miss North Carolina, Johna Edmonds, will be on campus to visit classrooms and to speak with our students about the importance of literacy. If you have not had the opportunity to meet this amazing young lady, you are in for a special treat. Please checkout the following link to learn more about her: http://www.missnc.org/about/miss-north-carolina-2013
As many of you know, Courtney School and our community suffered a tragic loss before Christmas break, when one of our students passed away due to a mobile home fire. The community and surrounding churches have offered amazing help and support, not just to me, but to our whole school. Working in conjunction with the churches, we will have a very brief memorial time for this student during the event.
In conclusion, there will be a question and answer time for people to ask me, the principal, questions. I would ask for your support in this huge event in the life of our school and community. I look forward to this event, what it will bring to the community and school and the bright future for Courtney Elementary School.
