Janelle Deal, Honeoye:
"Students at our school LOVE PebbleGo as a part of research and learning, and it makes sense that PebbleGo Next is where they head as they get a little older. It’s geared towards those in 4th and 5th grade, however, other grade levels do enjoy it as well. What is fantastic about it is that this resource correlates with the curriculum teachers are already teaching, but gives them a specific support as it does allow for the text to be read to students (a great tool for struggling readers). We’ve namely used it for research or to support the modules / curriculum."
"The content itself is a good level for most kids. However, the feature I appreciate the most is the fact that it has a read-aloud option. Many students struggle with reading higher levels of text, and this allows those who aren’t as strong of readers to get the same content and information. Teachers have shared that they enjoy the readability, the content, and the ease of using it."

Michelle Miller, Gorham:
"I think it's successful with the students because they like the format. And it is easy to access: we have an icon from all desktops to the databases."
"We have focused a lot on student engagement here at Gorham Intermediate and many of our classes are using stations. Tumblebooks is often used as a station. I'm glad we're getting our money's worth!"
Katie Infantino, Naples ES:
"When I introduce databases, I always have a mini research activity for students. If I know that a teacher is doing research or a unit that is covered by any of these databases, I will go to their rooms and show them (again) what the database has and what it can do for them.
"I really like the citations, it makes it very easy for students to use. The students are starting to realize that using a database is really much easier than using Google and trying to figure our how to cite a website!"
"The promotional materials are great. I think sometimes the kids are the best promoters. If they are successful finding info, they will tell their peers and often times the teacher will take notice." TRIAL USER: slsa1 PASS:slsa1
