Attendance
Thank you for sending your child to school every day. Our overall attendance has improved slightly but we are nowhere close to where we need to be. It is EXTREMLY important that your child is in attendance every day. If your child is sick, than definitely keep your child home. Yesterday we rewarded all students who met the 15 day attendance challenge. All students who attended 15 consecutive days of school were rewarded with a free ice cream.
Starting Monday, we are starting a grade level attendance challenge. Our goal is having 96% of our students in attendance each week. Grade levels that achieve this goal will be rewarded with a Tiger Day. Please ask your child for more information.
Student early pick up
Reminder that we will not allow any early checkouts after 3:15pm. Also, we can only pull your child out of class once you have arrived on campus. Students cannot wait for their parents in the front office.
Parent pick after school:
We are starting to have many of our students stay after school for a variety of activities. With the increase activities, we are having a lot of students being picked up after school. All parents must pick up their student in the back of the school. Admin will not let students cross over into the front parent lot. Also, please keep the left lane of the parent pick open for passing only. I know the lines can get long but safety is our number one priority. I appreciate everyone's understanding.
I appreciate all of the work you do for your child and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

MMS Ballet Folklorico Fundraiser
McCormick Middle School Ballet Folklorico club is getting OFFICIAL! Let's make this happen together. You can join Mrs. Thornburg and Alma Bocanegra in launching a new adventure by helping our students with this BBQ fundraiser. Check out our flyer (see attachment)! If you feel inspired to help our students as they proudly preform the traditional dances of our culture, click on the link below to see how you can help. We have no startup money, we are moving forward with the hope that our community here at school and local businesses around us can join forces to help us buy our very own dresses. Tickets can be purchased on revtrak in the link attached or on campus. Monetary help would also be SO HELPFUL! Any little bit will help us reach our goal to sell 200 plates = $2000. Muchas gracias por apoyarnos. Thank you for your support.
