First Day of School

Principal's Message

Thank You Faculty & Staff for making this one of the most amazing school openings I have ever experienced! Special Shout-Out to the front office staff for all of their hard work. The past two weeks, I have watched everyone give 110% throughout the hallways of North Metro Academy. Everyone has given so much of themselves for the students. I'm excited about the great work we are going to do this year. The following words continue to inspire me and the work that we do here, and I want to share them with you:

I've only just a minute,

Only sixty seconds in it.

Forced upon me, can’t refuse it,

Didn’t seek it, didn’t choose it,

But it’s up to me to use it.

I must suffer if I lose it,

Give an account if I abuse it,

Just a tiny little minute,

But eternity is in it.

-Dr. Benjamin E. Mays

Are You Ready For The Solar Eclipse?

Teachers please review lessons and resources on the SOCC-

Students must return a signed permission slip, and provide approved solar glasses to be permitted to go outside to view the solar eclipse event. If a student does not provide those two items they will watch the event via closed circuit. We will provide sun chips and moon pies for students to enjoy while viewing this exciting event.

Scholar Spotlight

Morgan P. and Caden S. have been selected as our exceptional scholars for the week. They were selected by their teachers for having exceptional work ethic and character during the first week of school. As scholars of the week, they have been on the morning announcements all week. Every week we will select two fifth or fourth grade students as our scholars of the week.
