Elementary ELA
We are excited to be working with most of you in the Year-Long Reading Course. Don't forget that all resources from the course are available on Canvas. Please let us know if you have not been added to the course.
We hope you've found some time to peruse the Reading Department on School Wires. This site provides a multitude of support including the ELA Frameworks, CARE modules, Tennessee State Standards and much more.
Don't hesitate to email if we can help in any way.

Secondary ELA
Ask yourself how your last module or unit of study went and whether or not students are performing at a level that reflects the amount of work you have been putting into teaching them. If you haven't taken the time to delve into the Knox County Teacher Pages, that is a great place to start looking for ideas for next semester. You can find a number of helpful resources on the secondary English page here:
Be sure to read the English Department Newsletters to find out about upcoming professional development opportunities. You can also view workshops on My Learning Plan. If you are new to Tennessee or completely new to teaching, be sure to seek out opportunities to learn more about the TEAM rubric and evaluation process. The only way to improve is to make the most out of each evaluator's feedback and the worthwhile conversations that occur during each post-conference. Everyone in Knox County Schools wants to help you and your students succeed!
