Lenski Weekly Update
August 18th, 2023
From the Principal's Desk
Our first few days have been absolutely fantastic! It has been so great to see our returning students, as well as meet our new Lenski Superstars this week! The energy in our building has been incredible! Thank you all for your support in making this year the best year yet for Lenski!
Earlier today, we brought our entire school together to capture our school-wide STAR picture! This is truly such an amazing place to be! Enjoy this special photo!
This weekend is starting with our Back to School Bash. I hope that all students, staff, families, and community members enjoy the time to connect! We also have the Western Welcome Week Parade in Downtown Littleton on Saturday. The Lenski Team is excited to represent our awesome school.
Have a wonderful weekend, Superstars!
With Lenski Love,
Jessica

Reminders
During morning and afternoon drop-off/pickup, please ensure that you are abiding by the stop sign on Fairfax. While we have staff members using stop signs to allow walkers to cross, we still need to abide by the stop sign law. We’d hate for you to get a ticket if LPD came through.
If you know that your child will be absent or late, please report this as soon as possible to the 24 hour attendance line 303-734-5600. We will be following established state and district guidelines regarding unexcused and excessive absences and tardies. Minutes accumulated beyond 24 hours of unexcused absences and tardies are considered excessive
Enrichment classes are now open for registration. Please visit the Lenski website for information on all classes and information on how to register.
From the PTO
Volunteer to be a ROOM PARENT for the '23-'24 School Year!
Do you want to be involved with your child’s classroom but can’t commit to a set schedule? Being a room parent is an AMAZING and REWARDING way to be involved in your child's classroom with minimal commitment of in-class volunteer time as much of the planning and coordination can happen on your own time as your schedule permits. On average, being a room parent is a commitment of about 10 hours of volunteer time per year.
Whether you are a first-time room parent or a veteran, we need your help and would love for you to be involved this year! A room parent's responsibilities include planning for the fall festival and assisting the PTO with teacher appreciation week in the spring and the Lenski fundraising fun in the fall. For 5th GRADE room parents ONLY, we'd like you to be involved and spearhead the various 5th grade continuation subcommittees. So, if you know you want to be involved in 5th grade continuation planning, now is a great time to sign-up and also be a 5th grade room parent!
More details on each of these activities will be shared with the room parents at the room parent orientation meeting in September. There will be two room parents for each classroom so you can share the fun (and the responsibility) with another parent in your class! If you're interested in being a room parent for this year. Please sign-up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0F4DA5A82AA20-lenski1 by September 1st.
If you have any additional questions, please reach out to Stephanie Wilcox.
