Counselor's Corner
Anger, good or bad for us?
According to the American Psychological Association, anger is an emotion characterized by antagonism toward someone or something that has done you wrong. Anger can be good. It can give you a way to express negative feelings as well as motivate you to problem solve.
Excessive anger, however, can be harmful to physical and mental health. Below are some ways to help your child when they become angry with another child.
· Help the children to calm down.
· Separate the children.
· Help the children to think about why they are angry.
· Help each child think about what the other child is feeling.
· Tell the children how you feel about the situation.
· Help the children choose the best solution for the situation.
· Praise the children when they resolve a conflict without violence.
· Tell children it’s ok to be angry, but not ok to hurt others.

Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from September 25th-29th 8:50a.m.-4:20p.m. at Rhoades Media
